Registration

To ensure the safety and well-being of every child, all parents and carers must complete the registration form before their child can attend Little Saints After-School Club. This includes providing detailed information about your child, such as medical and dietary needs, to ensure we can cater to their individual requirements.

Induction Period

When your child first joins the after-school club, they will go through an induction period. During this time, a staff member will:

  • Introduce your child to the club’s rules and routines
  • Show them the different areas and activities available
  • Help your child feel comfortable and settled in their new environment

The induction ensures that both the child and staff are familiar with each other and that your child feels confident and safe at the club.

Reception Children at Little Saints After-School Club

As an Ofsted-registered organisation, Little Saints follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. This framework ensures that your child’s learning and development continue in a fun, supportive, and engaging environment while they are in our care.

Through carefully planned activities and resources, we aim to help your child:

  • Build confidence
  • Develop essential skills
  • Gain knowledge

‘All About Me’ Leaflet

To ensure we provide the best possible care and learning experience, you will be asked to complete an ‘All About Me’ leaflet. This helps our staff get to know your child better and tailor activities based on their interests, preferences, likes, and dislikes. It’s a simple yet effective way to ensure your child feels happy, valued, and engaged during their time at the club.

First Aid

To ensure your child’s well-being, all of our staff have Paediatric First Aid.

We also maintain a well-stocked first aid box that is accessible to all staff at all times.

Payment Options and Childcare Vouchers

Parents can make online payments, use childcare vouchers, or use working tax credits to pay for the afterschool club.

Childcare Vouchers

Childcare vouchers enable employers to assist employees with childcare costs. Vouchers are exempt from National Insurance Contributions (NICs) and Income Tax up to £55 per week, potentially saving over £2,000 a year for a working couple. Little Saints accepts all childcare vouchers, and employers can set up a voucher scheme, benefiting both employees and businesses. Please speak to your employer for more details.

Working Tax Credits

Nine out of ten families could save up to 80% of childcare costs through Working Tax Credit. For more information, call 0345 300 3900 or visit Gov.uk Working Tax Credit. Martin Lewis, from MoneySavingExpert, has also created a helpful guide on paying for childcare, including a tax credit eligibility calculator, available at MoneySavingExpert – ChildcareCosts.
